Kopi instan & cappuccino Good Day, kopi gaul paling enak

3 April 2013

Good Day, kopi gaul paling enak terakhirnya.

Aku hanya ingin mengingat Kopi instan & cappuccino Good Day, kopi gaul paling enak terakhirku.

Terimakasih, dila.

Hippocratic oath : The definition of maximum

If you’re watching a TV, an Olympic channel, or simply go to YouTube and searching for Usain Bolt performance in Olympic. You’ll see an incredible speed of running. A speed of light.  A clear win. But, what if I ask you how fast do Usain Bolt can run? 10.38 m/s? If it’s that so, if people already know how fast Usain Bolt can run, then why do we always need to measure his maximum speed  every time he perform in Olympic? The answer is simply because that word maximum is relative or the event of maximum performance is relative.

If you ask Usain Bolt to run without shoes on a muddy track while a hundred kilogram of luggage tied tightly with a chain in his left hand, I’m sure that he will not even reach 3 m/s speed, which in this case even my little brother can beat his record (gold medal?). This thing is what happening today to doctor in Indonesia. A lot of people claim that some Indonesian doctors are not professional, some of Indonesian doctors do the malpractice, some of them do not act maximally. Yes, hippocratic oath suggests the doctor do the maximum effort for their action. But, do the Indonesian doctor did not act on its maximum effort? To answer such a question, we should analyze first, what kind of track that they are going through? A muddy one? Or a nice one?

iStock_000006388033Small

Indonesian doctors face a lot of problems, insufficient equipments is one of it. To diagnose a disease, we need the help of equipment, for example to diagnose parasite in our body. Indonesia don’t have that kind of serological tools to diagnose it like Thailand or any other countries which lead to a late diagnose for some case of parasitic infection. Just like Usian Bolt without shoes whose can’t run in a maximum speed. Some bad habit from Indonesian people also affects the effectiveness of the treatment. Bad habits of consuming drugs without the instruction of the doctor make some disease become resistant to the drugs. For example the drugs for malaria in papua which become resistant. This situation made the track that doctor going through become harder. The habit of Indonesian people which come to doctor when his/her disease is severe is also making the situation that doctor have to face is harder. The greater the disease, the greater the effort that it takes, and the greater the risk for the patient that make the chance of a fail treatment occur which somehow makes the doctor seems not doing it best effort. Yes it’s seems so. It’s about point of view.

If we are going back to the case of Usain Bolt. Giving him a best situation just like when he runs in the Olympic track. Do the speeds of Usain Bolt is absolutely 10.38 m/s for everyone whose measure it? Albert Einstein says no to that. He says it’s relative toward who saw it. If it’s a kid who’s riding a rocket in the same direction with Bolt with a speed of 10.38 m/s, he can say that bolt move with 0 m/s speed. This case of a relative point of view is also happening to the case above. People who don’t know about the risk of medicine seem to see the doctor always fail. For example the case of cancer and chemotherapy which give a really severe side effect. People sometime see that doctor do a malpractice simply because of the side effect of chemotherapy. In fact, that doctor has been calculating that the life expectancy of his patient that he may extent is far more greater than letting that cancer to grow up and can kill that patient one year after, even if it that cancer give no symptoms at the presence time.

Another curve that people also forget to consider that doctor itself is also a human which also have some problems that can reduce its performance. Check this out for a better understanding that doctor also has a problem –> http://mahasiswafk.blogspot.com/2012/12/sosok-di-balik-jas-putih.html . Seeing all that conditions, we can see that a maximum performance that the doctor in Indonesia can do is restricted by some factors. Which the presence performance might be its maximum performance regarding to those restrictions. I beieve that they have done their best. I hope for the best.

nb : this post is presented to you guys in order to have a better understanding upon the situation of doctor especially in developing country. I mean, do you always get a perfect score of 100 in math while the equation of math like 2 +2 equal to 4 or other equations had never changed, you don’t right? Compare to a medical discipline where the knowledge itself is always changing every day, so do the disease and the symptoms that it presented. That’s why sometime it’s called as an art, an art and skill to diagnose a disease. But with this exception, I’m not saying that I’m supporting the doctors who do failure nor want them to be exist.I still believe in the intelligent doctor. I believe in inspaning verbintenis. A maximum performance by making every single factor in its maximum function.

A thought: who are you to judge?

2012 and doomsday? Well that was a hell of thing that has been out of date. But that short of event leave something to us. That there are some groups of people that extremely believes in something that’s scientifically unproven. Yes, an extreme believe, an extremist.

For me and majority of people, to see an extremist just like to see a mad people who are being crazy in their own world. They seem to distract everything, they are just too extreme. But a small conversation with my friend makes me wonder, what if I were them? What is actually inside their mind? And, how do they see the world?

It was a conversation about some of my friends that are being quite an extremist. I told her about my friends that don’t want to be photographed. I further explained her by saying that those guys ruin some of my class-year events with that weird attitude, and I said they have done something wrong, especially with the extremist thing.  And she replied me by saying “there is a rule in our religion that stated it’s prohibited for you to be a painter, and one of the consequences is that you will go to hell in the afterlife”  clear and with no doubt.

There are two things that come to my mind, eventually. First, those guys have a reason. Second, that I and that girl who I was talking to have a different definition of “right and wrong”. I realize that my definition upon right and wrong had been swayed by people in modern era point of view, beneficial and unbeneficial. I said that what my friend did was wrong simply because they ruin some of my class year event, unbeneficial. But her definition about what’s wrong and what’s right is straight. Rule is a rule, yes is a yes, and no is a no. so do right and wrong.

For people in the 21st century, they always use the analogy of happy living family as an analogy of what this world should be goes. And the extremist just go break the rule and make worsen the condition of that happy living family that’s why it’s wrong. Now, what if we use two guys in a boxing match as an analogy. If you apply that beneficial and unbeneficial point of view as the definition of what is right and what is wrong, the thing that you will see is that those two boxers are not punching each other, they will make up the fight, and they will fake it. Both party will not injure, yet those guys get the prizes and can share it for both, and both parties will get an even benefit. But that is what we call as a cheat, or in the concept of religion is well known as committing a sin. If you apply the concept of religion means that you follow the rule, fight still there, but that’s what is right according to the rule that has been written.

Another thought would be “why do we live?” and “what if we were born to shake that boxing match rule and not that happy living family?”. I’m not saying that extremist is the one who upper hand here, nor the normal religious person. I’m not picking aside to any party, it’s your choice to choose your way. I mean, who am I to judge?  I neither a religious expert nor the social expert. But I believe in one thing. Not all that’s good for us are good for god.

My name is jan!

“Hey jan, where have you been?” that’s what almas always said to me when she met me. It’s not about almas care about where I was going this far, it’s about how she address me. Yes, my name is Jan. According to Almas.

That jan name is not my actual nick name, my nick name is Danu which relatively has no correlation with my full name that is Januardi Indra Jaya. And yet, I have some other nick name in this 18 years of my life that some of them are more relevant to my full name and some of them are extremely not. Here they are and some history behind it, but it’s not including the lovely call from my exs (because those all are secrets :3) and some animal-name call like musang, kodok, kambing which I don’t know how they-people-can say that to me.

Danu :Officially, this is the only nick name that my parents gave to me (praise my parents). I have no idea when and how did my parents give me this nick name which has no correlation with my full name. Yes, I have no problem with this name, and I enjoy it. Yet, my friends didn’t. It’s not happening until I move to jogja and met a lot of new people and I quite active in some committee in some events which somehow makes people knew my full name earlier than my nick name and start to ask me “How in the world you can be called as Danu?” again.. and again… (yes, that’s just how dramatic it is) And I always replied it by saying “I have no idea, that’s what my parents gave to me”. And  yes, I never ask my parent about how did they give this name to me. I will ask them. one day..

Janu : This is the always-become-the-first-suggestion of how my name should be addressed. this phrase “why not Janu?” is always come after the question about how could I be called as Danu. it’s not that this Janu nick name being used by those person whose complaining about my name. yes. they didn’t call me Janu afterward, they stuck with Danu. But some of my friends from NSDC like rico polim and dhito, they still call me Janu. even until today. And some people in my campus who only knew my full name and recognize my face and didn’t know my real nick name always accosted me by saying Janu.

Jan : This is what almas always call me, I don’t know why, I think it’s because of her accent. If I’m not mistaken she was leaving in texas for some couple of years and move to indonesia with low-skill of talking in Bahasa. well that Jan nick name is quite suitable anyway if you match it with English sentences. My friend lee who has a strong British accent also call me Jan every time He address me.

Amat : This one is strongly have no correlation with my name. This name was given by my friend Aspi, he is the funniest man in my group. So the story was started when there was a movie titled with “Kaman Danu” in the TV, my friend started calling me that way. some weeks goes than it change into paman danu, and than goes to pabad dadu (with a funny accent), and some odd transformation come which in the end resulted this name. and yes some of my friend in lombok sometime still call me that way.

Unad : Because you Reverse down my real name

Danu sisworo : Just a crazy girl name asty that call me this way, sorry madame.

Nanu : this one is my internal family nick name, my mother sometime call me Nanu. A cute way to say Danu. And transferred down to my little sister and brother. Because as a kid, they love a cute thing. But my lil sister just grow up and still calling me that way. It just sound not so cute anymore. Don’t call me that way

Nunu : It has no correlation with that Nanu nick name and also has no correlation with my family. It was my junior Intan nur shabrina whose calling me that way. I have no idea how did she get that word. But that sounds not so masculin, so don’t stick on that nick name.

Jaya : It was some of my juniors that yelling my name that way. yes they yelled, like mas jayaaa, even when I walk with my friends, or I just past by their classes. I don’t know why they call me that way. they yelling me that way for some couple of weeks after masa orientasi at my school and they just a freshmen and I was the committee of that masa orientasi. They are zaza, uly, ifa, siwi, tasya and others which I forgot. The funny thing is that I don’t know them all at that time and they might know me from that masa orientasi and facebook, but I just put “januardi Indra” as my facebook name and not write down my last name that is Jaya. I don’t know how they figured out my name and start calling me that way, and that jaya name is just really close to Jay which is the most bullied person at my school at that time and that’s why I do not enjoyed to be called as jaya.

Dancuk : it was derivation from a swearing in javanese language that is Janc*k, this one is not properly used by you guys.

Botak : It means bald hair in english, I have no idea why I was called this way if I gather with my relatives. We have this habit to mock among others with bodypart-mocking call. For example : hidung gede, gigi kawat, bibir. But for this botak thing, the last time I made my head in bald is when I was in kindergarten. The fact that my big brother cut his hair in bald quite a few times at elementary and junior high school didn’t change anything, that botak name still goes to me. Oh god why..

From tons of nick name that possibly will come up as a derivation from my full name, there is a nick name that I just dream off at least for this short of time :

Good morning doctor !

A Brain Physiology: Perception

A 1.5 kg in weight, even lighter than your femur. Anatomically, more than ¾ of it is just a water, as much as the water in your mineral water bottle. It’s not that special in structure, but it is special on the function. Simple to say that it’s only consist two things, of girus and sulcus, but it holds two things that it’s not as simple as the way we spoke it, life and death.

Some people use the existence of brain activity as a tool to define death, but then the existence of our brain is also the one that define our life. Brain is not a tool that simply accepts the stimuli, not as simple as occipital lobe do the visionary and temporal do the auditory, there is another important step, the processing of information.

If you see two trucks in front of you, you will evenly seeing it. But if you see a luxury Lamborghini and a truck in front of you, your brain sometime fake you and makes you focus on that Lamborghini only which make you see the Lamborghini nearer to your eyes and the truck is just somewhere else. Bur for the truck lover, he will focus on the truck. Some case goes to a class with one hundred people inside.  When an outsider sees that class, he will see an ocean of people. But for some people on that class, the inexistency of a person make he see that class as quite as a room with none, it’s because your brain that fakes your vision. Some case goes to your auditory, a sound from someone that is being second to none for you can be sound as good as avril lavigne or any other famous singer. It’s your brain that acts on that and translate the meaning. Even your sense is faked. Its how a perception toward an object works.

Back to the Lamborghini and truck, perception not only works and determines our sense like visionary and auditory, it can works on the memory and emotion path. If you are the owner of that Lamborghini and you see there is a truck walk side by side with it. There will be hundreds of negative scenario that comes out from your mind which draw up that there is a possibility of your Lamborghini will be disturb by that truck. Scratched, bumped, drunk driver, the truck is exploded or even any irrelevant thought will come out. Some case goes to jealousy, like a truck, other people is a thread.

Perception may come from a social pressure and a doctrine, like a stereotype. But for an individual, it use to be because of love. When you love a pink color dress and you went to a store with only one pink color dress and the rest are black, you will only see that pink dress and not even take any attention to other dresses, like the case of a class with one hundred people inside. That’s how love modulates your perception. And that’s how it will modulate your sense. Because every stimulate that come and being transmitted to your brain will stop at that post called perception, and that’s how perception maker is that specific.

Yes, it is love, and it does matter.

The Golden Age Reborn

Image  If you take a look to the history of Dutch, 17th century was the greatest years in the history of Netherland, or what is widely known as the golden age of Dutch. They call those years as a golden age was because at that time Dutch became the top ranking country for their trade, science and especially for their art.

More than six hundred painters were there in that era, and created variety genres of paintings like history, natural, landscape, portrait, and religious. Those great masterpieces of Dutch painters at that time are became the world leading masterpiece, trendsetter of paintings and famous even until today. Now, century has change to 21st, most people thought that the art and creativity of Dutch had been stopped at the end of 17’s, when the golden era had passed. But their perception was wrong, the creativity of Dutch was not gone, it’s still live in every single Dutch people and reborn in this century inform of creativity in art, technology, architecture, and education. For example in technology, they use their creativity and their knowledge to create an innovation like PAL-V, a vehicle which finely works on street and also in air. It meets the needs of society today, it can be used by business people and as an ambulance or police vehicle and for use in areas with minimal transport infrastructure.

Another invention which also meets the society needs is floating LED street lighting, these unique street lightings which are floating on Catharinaplein field in Eindhoven give a new look to the field, it’s irradiating every single corner, beneath and between the trees and it systems are adapted to the way people move and behave. So, people will not hard to find a pleasant social meeting-point. This innovation of creativity also larger the space for pedestrians and cyclists since the design is very efficient (it requires less lamp posts).

Their creativity did not stop only at the innovation of technology; architecture is also one of the subjects where this artistic Dutch express their creativity. You can see from buildings around the city, the museums which uniquely design or even venues like Amsterdam RAI that won the Best International Venue award at the 6th annual Exhibition News Awards in London this year. It’s being recognized as the Best International Venue after competed with some famous venue like Cape Town International Convention Centre, Suntec Singapore, Riocentro Rio de Janeiro, and last year’s winner, ADNEC Abu Dhabi.

Education is also the field where the creativity is planted on, with their creativity they found the best method to educate people and made the quality of education in Netherlands as one of the best education in the world. With all of those reasons above, Netherlands is a good choice to study and live.

“Because if you are gathering with intelligence people, you will also become an intelligence person”- Dion Idol.

By living there, hopefully their creativity will reborn in your blood. Cheers..!

Smurf Smurf Smurf… I Smurf You

We have so much communication devices that we are doing less direct communication, even by device

What if every verb that came out from every person mouth is replaced by a word smurf, or hipster, or duck or apple. The message that you send to someone is become blur and not being accepted by the person you are talking to. This sort of even is not only happened in a movie like smurf, but it’s already happened to our daily conversation. Not only the verb which get smurf, but every single word including noun, be, adjective, subject, verb itself (and any other kind of word that I personally don’t know what it should be addressed off)  intentionally . We are not doing it in a face to face conversation, but we are doing it in the social media like facebook or the more mainstream media, for example twitter or hello (well, this one did not counted).

Some people tend to give indirect message, saying a word without tagging someone to that word, even there is a facility of it. For example : “senangnya hari ini”, “salah pilih” “it was me”, “yes indeed”, “semuanya datang hari ini”,”try to forget him” or even a sarcastic one like “anjing tu anak”,”mbok mulutmu dijaga”,”ancuk banget” and any other kind of expression. It is similar with smurfing the verb itself. You throw a message to someone without actually tagging it that will ensure those guys got it. There is a possibility that someone you give the message to will get it and not get it, and there is a possibility that someone who’s not being addressed is presuming that the message is for him/herself that directly indirectly make an emotional change which either happy, or weird if the message was bad. There are variant of motif why people do this thing. But one thing is for sure, THEY DO MEAN WHAT THEY WERE SAYING. Cheers!
